We logged a call at our office. Mr. Volt then sent a sub-contractor (Day Night Electrical) Speedy service but charged +1000% for the parts. Very disappointed with how business is conducted!!!!!!!

We were charged over 10k for 30min of work, and 3 parts (not over 2k per part (and I am being generous)).

I am very dissatisfied with the service I received after contacting Mr Volt regarding an electrical issue at my townhouse, where a tenant had reported frequent power tripping.

Following our communication, I was contacted by an electrician named Alex, who sent me two quotations via WhatsApp. Unfortunately, both quotations were illegible photographs—one for R3,500 and the other for R7,500. When Alex called to ask whether they should proceed, I requested a clear quotation as I could not understand what he was referring to. Despite this, I received the same unreadable images again. I've noticed that the quote was done under the name Tshepo - for Electricians on Call.

Later, Alex called once more, and I informed him that I would discuss the matter with my husband that evening. Due to the unclear quotations and lack of transparency, we decided to seek a second opinion from another electrician the following day.

In the meantime, my tenant informed me that the surge protector—previously in working condition—had been removed. She even sent me a photo showing where it had been taken out. The new electrician completed the necessary work at half the cost of Mr Volt's quotation.

I contacted Alex to inquire about the missing surge protector, and he referred me to his supervisor. The supervisor promised to investigate and get back to me, later assuring me that the item would be reinstalled. However, this never happened, and my further attempts to follow up were ignored.

It has since become clear that Mr Volt appointed a contractor, who then appointed a subcontractor, who in turn appointed yet another subcontractor. This chain of delegation has resulted in confusion, lack of accountability, and poor service delivery.

Eventually, I managed to speak with Mr Volt directly, who also promised to look into the matter. I was then asked to provide a photo of the surge protector—something I obviously do not have, as it was removed without my consent or prior notice.

This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional.
