I have the unfortunate encounter of booking a trip that never materialised. The trip was cancelled twice, first time due to Covid restrictions and was moved from December 2021 to March 2022. Then cancelled at the 11th hour and after taking leave from work and to be told a day before the trip that the trip wont be happening. The owner then proposed an alternative trip and a refund, I personally requested a refund because I already had booked other trips for the year ahead of time. I requested a refund which I have been battling to get back from the owner. He’s been incredibly dismissive, unprofessional, unethical and a nightmare to deal with. There’s no refund policy and no timeframe for the refund. This experience has made me lose faith in black owned businesses. To date I have not been refunded and the owner avoids my calls and texts.
